September 4, 1961 – November 5, 2018

Randy Lee Olson, 57, of Benson, Minnesota, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at his home in rural Benson.  Visitation was held Thursday, November 8, from 5-7 p.m. at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson and continued from 10-11 a.m.  Friday at the church. Funeral services were held  Friday, November 9, at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson.

Randall Lee Olson was born in Benson, September 4, 1961, the son of Donald and Myrtle “Penny” (Mann) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. He grew up in the Benson area and attended Benson Schools. He lived in Benson and worked for Lor-Al Manufacturing in Benson and at Polaris Dealership in Roseau, Minnesota. Most recently, he was employed with Case New Holland in Benson.

Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and dancing. Randy loved to spend time with his family. He was called from this life  November 5 at his home in Benson Township.

He is survived by his two sons: Bradley Olson and Robert Donald Olson, both of Benson; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Drake, Kylie, Savannah, Colten, Corey, and Hunter; his siblings: Sheryl (Brian) Madden of Benson and Richard Olson of Benson, his niece Melissa (Chad) Payne, nephews: Matthew (Janelle) Madden, and Jason Madden, his great friends: Randy Larson and Jeff Larson, and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Myrtle, and a great niece Carli Joy Payne. Blessed be his memory.

Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson was in charge of the arrangements.
