Helen Ann Bolter
May 17, 1926 • May 5, 2021

Helen Ann (Minchow) Bolter, 94, of Buffalo, Minnesota passed away May 5, 2021.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Fish Lake Lutheran Church, Harris, Minnesota  at 11:00 a.m. An interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be at a later date.
She was born May 17, 1926 in Danvers, Minnesota to Felix and Agnes (Kujawa) Minchow. She grew up in Benson and graduated from high school there with the class of 1944.
Not long after WWII, she was joined in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Clifford Bolter after he returned from his military duties in 1947. Together they raised two daughters and made their home in Benson, then Roseville, and finally settled in Willmar through retirement years.
Helen enjoyed trying out her luck at the casino, and would often get together with her neighborhood friends to play poker. Helen and Clifford spent many winters living in Las Vegas to get away from the Minnesota cold.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandma who was delighted in the activities and accomplishments of the family. She rarely missed an opportunity to watch her kids and grandkids shine. Helen would attend their band concerts, sporting events, and any other activity they’d participate in to show her love and support.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; granddaughter, Mindi; sisters, Clara and Rosie; brothers, Martin, Frank, John, Don, and two infant siblings.
She is survived by her daughters, Barb Sauer (Dale) and Vicki Johnson; grandchildren, Brenden (Heather), Katie, Mike (Sharon), Annalise, Sarah (Scott), and Melanie (Pete); great-grandchildren, Riley, Sarah, Stephanie, Sawyer, Sadler, Ellie, and Eli; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. Online condolences for the family may be directed to www.thepetersonchapel.com
