Jean Marilyn Meyer, 85, of Willmar, Minnesota died Sunday, January 9, 2022 at her home.
A service celebrating her life was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14 at Word of Faith Family Church in Willmar. Visitation was one hour prior to her service at the church. Burial was in the Benson City Cemetery.
Jean Marilyn Meyer was born July 18, 1936, to Irvin and Frieda (Neumann) Splettstoesser in Waconia. She attended school in Waconia and graduated from Waconia High School in 1954. She continued her education for medical technology at the Minneapolis School of Technology from 1954-1955.
September 17, 1955, Jean was united in marriage to Marvin Meyer. This union was blessed with three children: Linda, Kris and Sarah. Due to Marvin’s career as a radio announcer, they lived in St. Peter, Redwood Falls, Watertown, and eventually moved to Benson in 1960. Jean enjoyed staying home as a homemaker and raising her children.
While in Benson, she was active on the Board of the Benson Christian School and hosted a Women's Bible study group at her home.  Jean moved to Willmar in 2014, and continued attending Word of Faith Family Church. Jean enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, socializing and baking, but her greatest passion was telling others about Jesus, how he changed her life, and the free gift of salvation available to all.  Her grandchildren especially enjoyed her blueberry pie, oatmeal raisin cookies, and rhubarb muffins. Above all, she loved her family; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren had a special place in her heart.
Jean is survived by her children: Linda (Tim) Gallagher of Willmar, Kris Meyer of Benson, and Sarah (Tim) Hoffman of Henning; grandchildren: Angela (Jeston) Kok of Willmar, Amee Gallagher (Troy Reine) of Chanhassen, Mollie (Matt) Hamrick of Mound, Andrew Hoffman of Maryland, Cassandra Hoffman of Los Angeles, and Adam Hoffman of Henning; nine great-grandchildren: Hannah (Brady) Reigstad, Alexa and Samantha Christoffer, Lauren and Mason Kok; Finnegan, Margaret Pearl, Leo, and Louie Reine;  and two great-great-grandchildren: Kolton and Weston Reigstad. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Hansen of St. George, UT.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, parents, two brothers and sister.
Arrangements were with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar,
