The Benson baseball team had just one game last week, but it was a memorable one.  The Braves earned their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over West Central Area last Tuesday night in Benson.

Isaac Minchow pitched all seven innings, giving up just two hits and striking out 14, while five players had one hit each to lead the offense.

Benson, now 1-8 in the WCC and 1-10 overall, was also set to play at Sauk Centre, Thursday, but that game was postponed due to weather and will now be part of a home doubleheader, Tuesday, May 24.
