Benson girls lose pair of close games to open up year

The Benson girls lost their first two games of the season last week, but put up a good fight both times.  The Braves, with first-year head coach Adam Foslien at the helm, lost at home to BOLD last Monday night, 59-52, in a game the Braves trailed early by over 20 points before rallying to within a handful of points late in the game.

Three nights later, the Braves fell at Melrose Area, 37-32, scoring just 12 first-half points and turning the ball over 24 times.

This week, Benson was set to host Lac qui Parle, Monday, and ACGC, Tuesday (yesterday) before taking a week to prepare for its next road game, Tuesday, Feb. 2 at BOLD...
