Annexation of land helps county avoid redistricting

Swift County will avoid redistricting all five of its county commission district and requiring all five seats be on the November ballot.
Thanks to actions taken by the Torning Township Board of Supervisors, the Benson City Council, and landowner Tim Mooberry, an annexation agreement has been reached that shifts a small parcel of land from Commission District 3 to Commission District 2.
