Breckenridge was coming off a 2025 season where they finished 13-1 with their only loss of the season coming in the Class A Prep Bowl against Minneota.
The Braves were the first team to get on the scoreboard after a seven-minute drive, Cole Oehlberg carried it in from seven yards out to take a 8-0 advantage. The Cowboys answered immediately to tie the game at 8-7. The back and forth battle continued with Andrew Nissen breaking open a run for 41 yards to score and push Benson’s lead to 14-7 at the end of the first quarter.
