Primary Election Results: Stage set for General Election

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar had no challengers remotely close to her as she easily won the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) primary in last Tuesday’s election. The four-term U.S. senator was endorsed by her party and won the state with nearly 90% of the votes cast on the DFL ticket.
Republican House Speaker Lisa Demuth had a much tougher path to her victory and the chance to oppose Klobuchar on the November ballot.
