KMS graduate Amber Rosemeier wins 800 at NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championship
Former KMS graduate Amber Rosemeier found her way to the top of the podium for the UMary Marauders at the NSIC Outdoor Championships in Duluth May 9.
University of St. Mary sophomore and 2024 Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg graduate Amber Rosemeier wins the 800 in just her second Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Championship held at James S. Malosky Stadium in Duluth May 7-9.
Rosemeier was able to reach the finals of the 800 by running a time of 2:14.92 in the prelims.
As a sophomore, this was the first individual conference title for Rosemeier in her young career. The time of 2:11.22 she ran in the finals was just barely enough as she was only 0.2 seconds in front of second place. She shaved two seconds off her previous personal record to set a new PR during one of the biggest meets of the season.
She helped the University of Mary to finish second out of 15 teams in Duluth with Mankato State University taking the top place, just six points in front of University of Mary.
