Saints have perfect 3-0 week with three Camden wins

The Saints climbed up the Camden Conference standings last week with three conference wins in three games. They started with a dominating 10-0 win over Ortonville at home May 13. Next, they took down Renville County West 10-0 at home May 14. The closest game of the week was on the road against Lac qui Parle Valley May 16, but the Saints were still able to pick up a 6-1 victory to improve to 11-6 on the season.

Ortonville 0
The Saints had no trouble with the Ortonville Trojans rolling into town. KMS dominated and cruised their way to a 10-0 win while holding the Trojans to no hits in five innings of play.
KMS struck first with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Jared Cortez scored the first run on an error and the second run was Luke Jeseritz scoring on a single from Evan Zimmer.
Two innings later, KMS came through with another run when a single from Zimmer scored Logan Rudningen to make it 3-0.
KMS really busted the game open in the bottom of the fourth inning with seven runs to take a 10-0 advantage and force an end to the game.
The Saints finished the game with 11 hits as a team. Evan Zimmer led the way, going 3 for 3 with three RBI and a run. Jared Cortez finished 2 for 3 with a double, a triple, a run and an RBI. Logan Rudningen went 2 for 3 with two runs, an RBI and a steal. Logan Johnson went 2 for 3 with a run, an RBI and a steal. Hunter Engelke was 1 for 3 with a run and a steal and Luke Jeseritz finished 1 for 3 with two runs, two RBI and two steals.
Cortez got the win on the mound, pitching four innings and allowing no runs off no hits and struck out six. Zimmer pitched the final inning and gave up no runs off no hits and all three outs were strikeouts.

Just like a day earlier, the Saints dominated on their home field against Renville County West. The Saints led the entire game and coasted to a 10-0 win in just five innings.
KMS opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with three runs. A single from Rudningen scored Jeseritz, Rudningen stole home and Engelke scored on an error to make it 3-0.
Two more KMS runs came in the bottom of the third when a triple from Duke scored Johnson and a single from Kylen Payne scored Duke to make it 5-0.
