Adolph Munsterman January 23, 1937 • November 17, 2021

Adolph Munsterman, 84, of Appleton, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in the Appleton Area Health-Hospital. Visitation was held 10-11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, November 29, 2021, at Word Fellowship Church in Appleton. Pastor Troy Bates officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Shible Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials to AMVETS Post #151 were preferred.
Adolph Wayne Munsterman was born January 23, 1937, in Shible Township, Swift County, Minnesota, the son of Adolph Frederick and Augusta Louise (Stock) Munsterman. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shible Township. Adolph was raised in the Appleton area and graduated from Appleton High School, Class of 1956. He joined the Minnesota National Guard in 1950’s and retired from the guard in 1993.
During his working years, he lived in Appleton, Ortonville, Clara City and Raymond. He worked as a farm-hand for Dale Giese and Donald Giese for many years and also worked as a welder at several businesses. Upon his retirement, he moved back to Appleton, where he was a long-time member of Word Fellowship Church. Adolph enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the Paddle Bar, playing cards, tinkering with projects, and cleaning out houses.
Adolph passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in Appleton Area Health-Hospital. He attained 84 years, nine months, and 24 days of age. Adolph is survived by three children: Anthony (Brigette) Munsterman of Fergus Falls, Angela (Thomas) Kremer of Willmar, and Melissa (Don) Hoffmeyer of Lake City; seven grandchildren: Anthony Stabb, Jessica (Marc) Rothstein, Daniel Kremer, Alex Munsterman, Bailey Munsterman, Christa Munsterman, and David Munsterman; two great-grandchildren: Nicole and Mason Rothstein; sisters: Evelyn Giese of Morris and Verna Quandt of Benson; sister-in-law, Ellen Munsterman of Appleton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph F. and Augusta Munsterman; his siblings: Walter (Mabel) Munsterman, Bertha (William) Harste, Elmer (Emily) Munsterman, Albert (Vivilore) Munsterman, Renetta (Manville) Schlieman, Melvin Munsterman, and Ronald (Vivilor) Munsterman.
