Arden T. Thompson, September 14, 1949 • March 24, 2022

Arden Thorvald Thompson, 72, died Thursday morning, March 24, 2022, at his home in DeGraff. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in DeGraff and will continue Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2022, followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.
Arden T. Thompson was born September 14, 1949, in Starbuck, Minnesota, the son of Thorvald and Grace (Molsted) Thompson. He grew up in Swift Falls, Minnesota. He was baptized at St. Pauli’s Lutheran Church and confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. He attended country school and graduated from Benson Senior High School.
December 30, 1978, Arden was united in marriage to Carol Jane Wrobleski at the Swift County Courthouse. He worked at Earl B. Olson Farms, Lee’s Elevator, Loral, and Lorenz Manufacturing. He lived in Swift County for most of his life.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, sitting on his porch, and spending time with his family. He was called from this life Thursday morning, March 24, 2022, at his home in DeGraff. He attained the age of 72 years, six months, and 10 days.
He is survived by his wife Carol of DeGraff, his sons: Jeffery of DeGraff and Jason and Sarah (Poole) of Monticello, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Caleb, Kaitlyn, and Gabriel; siblings: Gerald (Joy) Thompson of Dawson, Janice (Heraldo) Rodriguez of Monticello, Virgil (Robin) Thompson of Sunburg, David (Francis) Thompson of Glenwood, Ernie (Ann) Thompson of DeGraff, Dianne (Dennis) Krause of Buffalo, Wayne (Jeannie) Thompson of Clontarf, Carol(Jon) Hjelle of Kerkhoven, and several nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thorvald and Grace, his father and mother-in-law Frank and Loretta Wrobleski, a brother Roger Thompson, a nephew Lance Thompson, a niece Paige Hjelle, sisters-in-law, Lynette Hippen, and Marie Lee, brothers-in-law Frank Jr Wrobleski, Kenny Wrobleski, James Wrobleski and Ray Staton; sister-in-law Janet Wrobleski; niece Kayla Wrobleski, and a nephew Darcy Wrobleski.
