Avis E. Bryduck February 10, 1934 • January 26, 2022

Avis Edell Bryduck, 87, of Benson, Minnesota, passed away January 26, 2022. A memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2022.
Avis was born February 10, 1934, to Fred and Manda (Haug) Lieberg in Badger, Minnesota. After graduating from Williams High School in 1952, she went on to become a telephone operator in Grand Forks, ND.
Avis met Walter Sidney Bryduck in high school and they became a match truly made in heaven. June 25, 1955, they married, and went on to have six children: Marty, Lori, Jeffery, Terri, Susan and Leslie.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Avis also loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, puzzling, playing cards, travelling, and getting together with family and friends. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
During her career, she spent many years working at different Benson businesses including her favorite, Thompson’s Ladies clothing store, where she enjoyed helping her customers choose just the right look. She later attended Willmar Vo-Tech for cosmetology and became a beautician, mostly working out of her home.
Avis spent much of her later years volunteering with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, St Francis church as a Eucharistic Minister, chairman of weddings and funerals committee and delivering communion to shut-ins, SCBHS Hospital Auxiliary and the Sons of Norway. Using her abundance of empathy and compassion to help others, Avis provided Hospice Care to so many in her community.
Avis is predeceased in death by her husband Walter (Sid), parents Fred and Manda, brothers Earl and Allen and sisters Velma, Verna, Ethelyn and Vivian and grandson Josh Amundson. She is survived by her six children: Marty (Robin Black) Bryduck, Lori (Randy) Amundson, Jeffery Bryduck, Terri (Bob) Orr, Sue (Mike) Moe and Leslie (Todd) Widseth, 15 grandchildren: Nick, Shawn, Justin, Jeremy, Jonathan, Matthew, Elizabeth, William, Kristy, Michael, Lyndsay, Jennifer, Zachary, Luke and Erika, 19 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
