Barry K. Janke, 63, Blaine, formerly of Benson
Barry K. Janke, 63, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at his home in Blaine, Minnesota. The love of his family bore him through a 17 month-long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy (Lamppa); their son, Jordan, and his wife, Amanda (Hakala); grandson Isaak-Karsten; and siblings, Trisha Sulier, Bruce Janke, and Pam Martin.
He was born to Ronald and Donna (Pederson) Janke, both living, November 11, 1949 in Glenwood. Barry was raised in Benson and attended Moorhead State University before serving in the U.S. Army. Barry moved to Blaine to run his own business with his wife and parents for nine years. Later, he returned to his earlier trade, working as a Pipe/Steam-Fitter for 3M until just one month before his death. To those who knew and loved Barry, he was nothing but earnest, honest, hard-working, and steadfast.

A local memorial service will be held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hughes in Glenwood, Minnesota August 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
