Benson council adopts first reading of amendment to snow emergency ordinance

At the Dec. 1 meeting, Mayor Jack Evenson said a person living on a street, knows now they can leave their vehicle there until 8 a.m., but here you are coming at 7 and they get plowed in. Then the police come around and give them a ticket because they are parked where you are plowing, he said.
Having specific hours is important in letting people know there they are safe to park, he said.
