Donald Gordon Nelson, 80, of Hot Springs, SD

Donald Gordon Nelson, 80, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away  May 8, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs.
Donald was born September 19, 1932, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, to Anton and Emma (Olson) Nelson. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1955.
Donald is survived by his special friend, Verta Krcil of Hot Springs, and a sister, Lila Johnson of Benson, Minnesota.
Memorial services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, SD, with Fr. Tim Hoag officiating.
Interment was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2013, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
Arrangements were placed in the care of McColley’s Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.
