Douglas A. Danielson passed away May 23, 2026. He was born June 13, 1956, to Delbourne and Arlyle (Aune) Danielson in Gackle, North Dakota. Doug graduated from Benson High School in 1975 and then attended North Dakota State College of Science.

Doug volunteered with the Peace Corps serving in Lesotho from December of 1979 to January of 1983.  Then in Israel from January 1983 to July 1983.  Doug returned to Africa and served, again, with the Peace Corps, in Cameroon from June of 1986 to June of 1988.  

Doug worked in commercial construction in Minnesota and then moved to Great Bend, Kansas where he made his home working with C.V. Cale for 33 years.  Doug enjoyed the warmer weather in Kansas.  He liked to hunt and fish.

Doug had many interests and was an avid reader, ready to debate a topic.  He also had a love of music and was a fan of the Celtic Women traveling to Salina, Kansas to see them in concert.  He shared music videos with family.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by siblings: Delaine (Dan) Reiman, Deborah (Maynard) Meyer, Dana (Ken) Spates, Dwight and Connie Danielson, Danielle (Todd) Nelson, and many nieces and nephews.
