Gloria M. Twitchell, 85, of Benson

Gloria M. Twitchell, 85, of Benson, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Swift County Benson Hospital in Benson, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 10 a.m. Saturday, August 17 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson with Father William Sprigler officiating.
Burial was in the St. Francis Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson with a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continued for one hour prior to the service.
Gloria M. “Pat” Twitchell was born  November 2, 1927 in Waite Park, Minnesota, the daughter of Anthony and Frances Blahosky.  She grew up in the Appleton and Holloway area where she attended country school.  
June 7, 1946, Pat was united in marriage with L. F. “Teeter” Twitchell at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Appleton.  This union was blessed with 46 years of marriage, eight children, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.  They lived in Appleton until they moved to Benson.  
Pat belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed baking, golfing, bowling, music, Twins baseball, spending time with family, and helping others.  
Pat was called from this life  Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the Swift County Benson Hospital.  She attained the age of 85 years, nine months, and nine days.
Pat is survived by her sons: John “Jack” (Kathy) Twitchell of Rio Rancho, NM, Tom Twitchell of Benson, Patrick (Betty) Twitchell of Benson, Joseph Twitchell of Chicago, IL, and Timothy Twitchell of Duluth; daughter, Ann (Tom) Kobbermann of Clontarf; several grandchildren,  great-grandchildren, and a  great-great-grandchild; and daughter-in-law, DeAnn Twitchell of Rio Rancho, NM.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Frances Blahosky; her husband, L.F. “Teeter” Twitchell, in 1992; daughter, Sarah Twitchell, in 1967; son, Charles Twitchell, in 2007; grandson, Ryan Twitchell, in 2012; sisters: Ann Wassink and Gina Turner;  brothers: Clem, Ed, and Ted Blahosky; and daughter-in-law, Marie Twitchell.
