Grief Support Group

Grieving is the most heart wrenching of all emotions. It is also part of the experience of being human. If you love, you will at some point in your life, grieve. But despite it being part of the humaneness we all shared, grieving can by lonely. People don’t know what to say or know what to do. When the funeral is over, all the people who were around you when your loved one departed are gone and life seems to stretch before you in its emptiness. You need a safe place to be. Being with other people who also grieve can be comforting. At Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson, a Grief Support Group will be held in the basement Wednesdays, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. It will meet 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, and 11/19. The group will be led by Kathy Tweten, bereavement social worker, and Joy Zehringer, OR parish nurse. Please call the church at 320-843-3151 or send us an email at orlcstaf@hotmail.com if you would like to attend!
