Jeff Robert Holtberg was born May 14, 1974, to Robert “Bob” and Joan (Hurd) Holtberg in Glenwood. Jeff’s early years were spent in Glenwood.  He enjoyed growing up in a small town.
April 4, 1998, Jeff married his wife, Angela Lange, at Glenwood Lutheran Church. The couple initially settled in Sauk Rapids, where they were blessed with their three children, Hallie, Parker and Ella. The family returned to rural Glenwood in 2009.
Jeff was dedicated to his family, work and community involvement. A proud graduate of Minnewaska Area High School in 1993, he furthered his education at Staples Technical College, earning a degree in graphic arts. Jeff’s professional life was marked by 22 years of service as a press operator at Merrill Corporation in St. Cloud. In 2017, he transitioned to selling insurance at Lange Associates in Benson, where he continued to make a positive impact on those around him.
Jeff was the first Minnewaska graduate to serve on the Minnewaska Area School Board. From 2012 to 2024, he worked hard for the welfare of the students and improvement of education.
Jeff’s love for life was evident in his many interests and hobbies. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hunting and fishing. He made several memorable trips to Africa, South Dakota, North Dakota and Lake of the Woods. He enjoyed watching and attending various sporting events, especially his favorite team the Minnesota Vikings. Traveling and discovering new places with his family brought him joy, as did spending time with his dog, Cam.
Above all, Jeff was known as the “familiest” of family men.  He excelled in his role as a father and husband, providing unconditional love and support. Jeff was the kind of person who could make friends anywhere he went. His no-quit attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Jeff died on February 4, 2025, after a courageous 16-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Angela; parents, Bob and Joan Holtberg of Glenwood; children, Hallie, Parker and Ella Holtberg; sister, Jenny (Troy) Wihlm of Princeton; father and mother-in-law Bob and Wanda Lange of Glenwood; brother-in-law, Brannon (Jenny) Lange of Glenwood; sister-in-law, Tina (Dave) Lange of Glenwood; and his nieces and nephews, Addie and Brayden Wihlm, Nicholee (Neil) Roesler, Kaitlyn, John and Joel Lange, and Morgan and Presley Lange as well as extended family and countless friends.
Preceding him in death were his infant brother, Brad; his uncle, Jim Williams; and his grandparents, Jim and Betty Holtberg and Don and Joyce Hurd.
Jeff’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the selfless acts that define a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort those who had the privilege of knowing him.
