Ned Ezra Kiefert
Ned Ezra Kiefert, 80, of Benson, Minnesota passed away peacefully Thursday, December 24, 2020, at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson. Visitation was held Tuesday, January 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment was in the Benson City Cemetery.
Ned was born December 27, 1939 in Lisbon, ND to Leo and Pearl (Liebing) Kiefert. He had 10 siblings and grew up in the farming community. He relocated to Benson with his family, where he continued his love for farming. He had three children and a step daughter.
Ned enjoyed keeping up with the Minnesota sports teams. He had a loving passion for hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed watching the Home Shopping Network and keeping up with the latest and greatest kitchen appliances. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being outside with his children and grandchildren.
Ned is survived by his children: Tim (Brianna) Kiefert of New Prague, Sara (Justin) Hoidahl of Alexandria, Bobby (Derek) Kiefert of Mapleton, ND and step-daughter Jody (Joel) Tolifson of Benson; grandchildren: Jayden, Kendall, Cameron, Lucas and Vada; Courtney and Jasmine and many other step-grandchildren; siblings: Marlin (Elizabeth) Kiefert, Claris (Richard) Kron, Verla (Ray) Putnam, Florence Buth and many special friends.
He is preceded in death by parents Leo and Pearl, siblings: Fred Kiefert, Harold Kiefert, Orlin Kiefert, Arnold Kiefert, Lois Nordick and Myren Kiefert.
