In a move to support those who have primary responsibility for caring for someone with a mental difficulty - such as dementia - or you are caring for someone with a chronic physical difficulty, Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ is launching a new support group. This group will provide a valuable resource for family members and caregivers, offering a space for shared experiences, emotional support, and educational resources.
The group will create a safe and confidential environment where you can connect with others facing similar challenges, reducing feelings of isolation and promoting emotional well-being.  By sharing your experiences and challenges, you can learn from each other, develop coping strategies, and gain a sense of community.
We will occasionally schedule educational sessions led by experts that will cover topics of concern.
The support group will help you prioritize your own needs, learn stress-reducing techniques, and develop a stronger sense of self-care, ultimately leading to improved care for your loved ones.
The group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7-8 p.m. in Pilgrim Centre of Pilgrim Congregational UCC,  211 13th Street North, Benson. This group will be facilitated by Pastor Lynn Thomas.  If you have any questions, please call Pastor Lynn at 320-305-0527.
Join the support group to connect with others, gain valuable knowledge, and offer encouragement for you as you continue the journey of caring for others.
