Norma E. Linhoff

Norma Linhoff, 88, of Willmar, Minnesota died Sunday, December 27, 2020, surrounded by her family at Carris Health Care Center and Therapy Suites in Willmar.
A private family service was held Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Harvey Anderson Funeral home in Willmar. A private interment was held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Kandiyohi.
Norma Elaine Linhoff was born August 5, 1932, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter and Nellie (Johnson) Jergenson. Norma grew up in Benson and attended Benson Public Schools. She was baptized September 25, 1932 and confirmed June 8, 1947 at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.
December 22, 1952, she married Eugene Linhoff. They made their home in Benson and later moved to Willmar. Norma worked at J.C. Penney for many years before retiring in 1994. Norma was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. She was also active with the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Norma loved people and served many family and friends. She became famous for her fish fries she served at Ye Olde Mill Inn during fishing openers on Green Lake. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family at the lake. She was an excellent cook and had a Sunday dinner ready for anyone who could attend. After her retirement, she loved to travel with family and friends, and enjoyed bus tours, trips to Las Vegas and Nashville, Caribbean cruises, houseboat trips, and renting lake cabins.
She is survived by two daughters: Cindy (and Gaylan) Krueger of Willmar, and Lynette Carlson of Janesville, WI; son: Michael Linhoff of Willmar; daughter-in-law: Judy Linhoff of Willmar; nine grandchildren: Krista Krueger of Minneapolis, Ryan (and Nichole) Krueger of Shakopee, Jason (and Kristina) Carlson of Janesville, WI, Christopher (and Tonya) Carlson of Springfield, MO, Angela Leindecker (and Maxwell Schultz) of New London, Adam Linhoff (and Alyssa DeHeer) of Paynesville, Matthew (and Amy)Linhoff of Kerkhoven, Jonathon Linhoff (and Canesha Hooten) of the Twin Cities, and Jessica Linhoff of Willmar; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Eugene Linhoff in 1995; son: Robert Linhoff in March 2020; sister: Pearl Olson; two brothers: Arthur Jergenson and Bernett Jergenson; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Frank and Louise Linhoff.
