Rev. Lyle Allan Rich 

July 9, 1932 - January 8, 2026 

Lyle Rich, 93, of Menomonie, WI (formerly of Moorhead, MN) died January 8, 2026 at Comforts of Home in Menomonie under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Rev. Rick Biedermann officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Lyle was born in New Rockford, ND the son of Lyle E. and Bergetta (Midstokke) Rich. He grew up in Hannaford, ND. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN (graduated in 1954) and Luther Seminary, St. Paul (graduated and ordained in 1958). In 1954, he married Joan Knutson and together they raised four children.

Lyle served churches in South Dakota, Minnesota, and North Dakota during his ministry. He loved to focus on the gift of God's grace for all people and modeled that in his life and in his preaching and ministry.

Lyle is survived by his children; Dr. Nathan Rich, Naomi (Mark) Hall, Nancy (Rick) Biedermann and Renee Rich (Giorgios) Kalpakidis; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Rich, and sister, Joan Underwood.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan; brothers, Roland and Donald; and grandson, Evan Hall.

The family would like to express their gratefulness to the Comforts of Home staff and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials given to the family will be directed to the Concordia Holistic Health Center Endowed Fund.
