He grew up on the family farm in Holloway, where he developed a lifelong love of farming. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church and graduated from Appleton High School, where he played football and wrestled.
Bob was known for his strong work ethic and quick sense of humor. He especially loved time with his grandchildren, hunting with his dad, and taking his ’71 El Camino out on the open road. On the farm, he found joy in the simple things playing with calves and raising peacocks.
He will be remembered for his ability to make others smile and for his memorable advice: “Stop wishing for what you can’t have - embrace what you have.”
