Sandra Lee Showalter of Danvers

Sandra Lee Showalter of Danvers, was called from this life on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at her home in Danvers, surrounded by love.
Friends called on the family Saturday, April 6, from 2-5 p.m. at the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
A memorial service will be held later this summer in Hazen, North Dakota.
Sandra Lee Showalter, 62, was born June 19, 1950, the daughter of David and Ruby Jensen of Hazen, North Dakota. As a child, she attended Spring Brook Elementary in Oliver County and graduated from high school in Hazen. She attended College in Minot.
May 25, 1974, she was united in marriage to Gerald Sandstrom. This union was blessed with two children, Gerald Willard Sandstrom II and Aurora Lee (Sandstrom) Whittet.
She enjoyed all the people of the Benson community as she ran the Cloverleaf Supper Club for 12 years. She married Brad Showalter August 28, 2001. They traveled all over the United States together building wind turbines.
Sandra enjoyed crocheting, rocks, painting, gardening, antiques stores, rummage sales, reading, and bird watching. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Sandra loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She fought cancer for many years with her family by her side.
Sandra is survived by her husband Brad Showalter of Danvers, her father David Jensen; her children Gerald Sandstrom II and Aurora (Brian) Whittet; grandchildren, Kylee Boettcher, Michael Schafer, and Henry Whittet; a brother Richard (Donna) Jensen, a sister Leila Kishta.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Jensen, brother-in-law Mohammed Kishta, and nephew Peter Jensen.
