Spring sports practice starts with competition set to start over the next two weeks
Like any spring sports season, the schedules will have to be flexible and early season games may need to be postponed due to field conditions and weather.
With the winters sports season all in the books, local athletes are now turning their attention to spring sports.
Softball
Benson will take start on the road against Osakis Tuesday, April 7.
KMS will be at home against Bird Island-Olivia-Lake Lillian District Tuesday, April 7.
Boys and Girls track
Benson/KMS track and field team will start the season on the road at an indoor meet at St. John’s University Friday, March 27.
Baseball
Saints will start the season Thursday, April 2 with a home game against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
Benson kicks off their season with a home game against the Minneota Vikings Thursday, April 2.
Golf
Girls meet in Litchfield Thursday, April 9.
Boys will be Friday, April 10 in Montevideo and Olivia for the Thunderhawk and Warrior meets.
Boys tennis
The first meet for the Braves is set up to be held in Montevideo against the Thunderhawks Tuesday, April 7 and will hold their home opener Thursday, April 9 against Minnewaska Area in Benson.
