St. Patrick’s Day Parade Saturday

Area Irish clans and those who enjoy celebrating with the Irish, will gather for the annual Patrick’s Bar & Grill’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The parade lineup starts at 2:30 p.m. on the south side of the Benson High School with the parade scheduled to start at  3 p.m.  Following the parade, people will gather inside Patrick’s for awards and a little Irish song singing.
Grand Marshalls for this year’s parade are Robin and Andy Abner.
Forecasting the weather for Saturday with this story being sent the printer Tuesday morning, is done with some degree of uncertainty. As of Tuesday morning, the forecast was for a high of 35 degrees and a low of 23. There is a chance of snow as well, according to the National Weather Service.
The average high for March 14 is 38 and the average low is 20. The record high for the date was set just last year when it hit 75 degrees. March 14’s record low is a minus 15 degrees set in 1960.
