Szczur, Bergman, Berens, Hoium earn All-WCC for boys tennis

The Benson-KMS boys tennis team had another great season in 2015, finishing the year with  an 11-5 overall record, which included a 4-1 mark in the WCC.  Lac qui Parle-DB edged the Braves in a late-season match, 5-2, to earn the WCC title with a perfect 5-0 record.
The Benson boys tennis team was seeded fourth in the Section 6A Tourney and beat        fifth-seeded NLS in the first round, 4-3, before being swept by top-seeded Foley in the next round, 7-0.  Foley went on to earn the section title and a berth at state.
During the section individual tourney, Benson’s two doubles’ teams were eliminated in the second round, while the singles’ players lost in the first round.  Playing doubles for the Braves were Bradley Berens and Aaron Szczur, and Eric Hoium and Tyler Bergman, while playing singles at the section tourney were Kyle Ruppert and Kyle Wrobleski.
Eric Hoium finished with the top record for the Benson team this year at 16-4, while also with at least 10 victories this year were Bradley Berens (11-9), Tyler Bergman (11-9), Aaron Szczur (11-10), Kevin Johnson (10-7), Nathan Habben (10-8), and Dylan McNeill (10-8).
