Verna Elaine Brott, 93, of Benson, Minnesota died Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Homestead Place North in Benson. Visitation will be held Friday, July 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.

Verna Elaine Brott was born August 28, 1928, in Greene, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Ella Schroeder. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Greene, Iowa.

May 11, 1947, Verna was united in marriage to Archie Brott Jr., in Greene, Iowa.

She is survived by her children: Judy (Ron) Overlie of Danvers, David Brott of Arvilla, North Dakota, Diane Overlie of Benson, and Joseph (Gwen) Brott of Perham; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; a brother; and a sister-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, six brothers, one sister, and a son-in-law.
